Urogynaecology
I have a specialist interest in the diagnosis and treatment of pelvic floor disorders and bladder problems, including:
- Stress urinary incontinence
- Urgency and overactive bladder
- Mixed urinary incontinence
- Recurrent urinary tract infections
- Pelvic organ prolapse
- Bladder dysfunction
Treatment options are tailored to each patient and may include:
- Pelvic floor assessment
- Urodynamic investigations
- Lifestyle and conservative therapies
- Pessary management
- Bulkamid® urethral bulking injections
- Pelvic floor reconstructive surgery
My goal is to improve bladder function, restore confidence and enhance quality of life using the most appropriate evidence-based treatment.
Colposcopy & Cervical Health
As a BSCCP-accredited colposcopist, I provide expert assessment and treatment for women with:
- Abnormal cervical screening (smear) results
- Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection
- Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN)
- Cervical pre-cancer
I understand that being referred for colposcopy can be an anxious experience. I take time to explain the findings clearly, answer questions and ensure patients feel reassured throughout their care.
Minimally Invasive Gynaecological Surgery
I perform a wide range of minimally invasive procedures, including:
- Outpatient hysteroscopy
- Operative hysteroscopy
- Laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery
- Endometrial biopsy
- Minor outpatient gynaecological procedures
Whenever appropriate, I use minimally invasive techniques to reduce discomfort, shorten recovery time and enable a quicker return to normal daily activities.
Leadership, Teaching & Professional Roles
Alongside my clinical practice, I have held several senior leadership positions within the NHS. I previously served as Clinical Lead for Urogynaecology, having earlier been Colposcopy Lead and Gynaecological Cancer Lead at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. In these roles I established specialist multidisciplinary services, developed referral pathways and introduced innovative outpatient clinics to improve the quality of care for women across North West London.
I am also committed to postgraduate education and maintaining the highest professional standards. I am an MRCOG Part 3 Examiner for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and a BSCCP-accredited Colposcopy Trainer, actively involved in teaching and mentoring future specialists.
I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG), a member of the British Society of Urogynaecology (BSUG), and have completed advanced specialist training in urodynamics, advanced hysteroscopy, intermediate laparoscopic surgery and gynaecological ultrasound.
