General Gynaecology

I provide expert assessment and treatment for a broad range of common and complex gynaecological conditions, including:

  • Heavy or irregular menstrual bleeding
  • Pelvic pain
  • Endometriosis
  • Adenomyosis
  • Fibroids
  • Ovarian cysts
  • Menopause and hormone replacement therapy (HRT)
  • Postmenopausal bleeding
  • Abnormal uterine bleeding
  • Vulval disorders
  • Chronic pelvic pain

My approach is centred on accurate diagnosis, clear communication and developing an individualised treatment plan tailored to each woman’s needs.

Urogynaecology

I have a specialist interest in the diagnosis and treatment of pelvic floor disorders and bladder problems, including:

  • Stress urinary incontinence
  • Urgency and overactive bladder
  • Mixed urinary incontinence
  • Recurrent urinary tract infections
  • Pelvic organ prolapse
  • Bladder dysfunction

Treatment options are tailored to each patient and may include:

  • Pelvic floor assessment
  • Urodynamic investigations
  • Lifestyle and conservative therapies
  • Pessary management
  • Bulkamid® urethral bulking injections
  • Pelvic floor reconstructive surgery

My goal is to improve bladder function, restore confidence and enhance quality of life using the most appropriate evidence-based treatment.

Colposcopy & Cervical Health

As a BSCCP-accredited colposcopist, I provide expert assessment and treatment for women with:

  • Abnormal cervical screening (smear) results
  • Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection
  • Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN)
  • Cervical pre-cancer

I understand that being referred for colposcopy can be an anxious experience. I take time to explain the findings clearly, answer questions and ensure patients feel reassured throughout their care.

Minimally Invasive Gynaecological Surgery

I perform a wide range of minimally invasive procedures, including:

  • Outpatient hysteroscopy
  • Operative hysteroscopy
  • Laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery
  • Endometrial biopsy
  • Minor outpatient gynaecological procedures

Whenever appropriate, I use minimally invasive techniques to reduce discomfort, shorten recovery time and enable a quicker return to normal daily activities.

Leadership, Teaching & Professional Roles

Alongside my clinical practice, I have held several senior leadership positions within the NHS. I previously served as Clinical Lead for Urogynaecology, having earlier been Colposcopy Lead and Gynaecological Cancer Lead at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. In these roles I established specialist multidisciplinary services, developed referral pathways and introduced innovative outpatient clinics to improve the quality of care for women across North West London.

I am also committed to postgraduate education and maintaining the highest professional standards. I am an MRCOG Part 3 Examiner for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and a BSCCP-accredited Colposcopy Trainer, actively involved in teaching and mentoring future specialists.

I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG), a member of the British Society of Urogynaecology (BSUG), and have completed advanced specialist training in urodynamics, advanced hysteroscopy, intermediate laparoscopic surgery and gynaecological ultrasound.

From the initial appointment, surgery, aftercare and to my final appointment, Mr Pal was extremely professional and understanding to my particular medical circumstances. The entire abdominal hysterectomy procedure was extremely satisfactory. He spent time listening to any concerns that I had and explained clearly and simply the process surrounding the surgery.
