I have known Dr. Alak Pal since February 2021. It's always such a pleasure to meet him. He's a very kind, friendly, and helpful doctor who always makes me feel comfortable and at ease. He's highly skilled, very knowledgeable, extremely professional and ever so down to earth. He's the most caring doctor I've ever come across. He always goes out of his way to look after me. Last month I was in severe pain and my appointment was booked with him in a few weeks' time. I went to see him in clinic to find out if there were any cancellations, so I could be seen earlier. However, he saw me on the same day without an appointment, and sent a request for the surgery I needed. I got a call the following day and they booked my surgery date. On the day of my surgery, he came to see me to explain the procedure in detail, which was under general anesthesia. He and his colleague came to see me in recovery, to check if I had woken up. I was wide awake, and I told them I was okay! The operation was a success. I've had other operations in the past, but doctors don't come to see patients in recovery. But Dr. Pal truly cares about his patients. Once I was back on the ward, Dr. Pal came to ask me how I was feeling, and to find out if I had eaten anything. That meant a lot to me. I instantly felt better. He was pleased to see me back on my feet getting ready to go home! He's always approachable, cheerful, and provides excellent support to the clinical team. His colleagues, including doctors, nurses, reception and admin staff often praise him. They say he's very dedicated, and there are very few good doctors like him. Which is so true. He definitely deserves more than 100 stars! He's a truly remarkable doctor who I trust completely with my care. I haven't got the words to thank him enough. After suffering from prolapse for many years and seeing numerous gynaecologists who proposed only noninvasive treatments my wife was seen by Mr Pal (initially on the NHS).
